Terrace is a long way from Nigeria. But an African student named Joshua says it wasn’t hard at all to be welcomed here with open arms.
“Terrace is kind of like a small town–you know everybody,’” he says in a recent video interview posted by Coast Mountain College, where he is currently a Criminology Specialization student.
When Joshua needed a job, for example, a friend of his connected him to the manager of Save-On-Foods. “Everything went so smooth,” he said.
Terrace to him feels easy and laid-back. “I love this,” he says at one point in the interview. “It’s a place where you can retire from your job and just come back and relax, that’s the kind of city Terrace is.”
