At a recent demolition derby in Terrace there was a long list of safety requirements.
Drivers needed to have a working seat belt, fire retardant coveralls, a full face helmet, goggles, neck braces, boots and gloves.
Watching this video shot from the event, which was held over the weekend at the Terrace Speedway, you can certainly see why safety is key.
“Number 69 hitting the driver’s side,” the announcer says as one vehicle t-bones another.
We sure hope that neck brace came in handy!
